Deanie Kehres, RN, DNP
Certified End-of-Life Doula, Elder Care Doula, & Care Consultant
About Me
Deanie has been a registered nurse for over 30 years working in the areas of Oncology, Hospice and Palliative Care for many of them. She has provided care and education to numerous patients and families throughout the years, but her calling to become an End-of-Life Doula began as she provided End-of-Life care to her mother suffering from Alzheimer’s.
Assisting one in their final act of living is both an honor and a privilege. Creating a sacred space tailored to their individual needs is a gift to them and to those who love them the most. The connectedness found in providing physical, emotional, and spiritual care to others is in itself an amazing experience.
Deanie has earned a doctorate in nursing, with a certificate in nursing education and continues to teach both in her community and as an adjunct nursing professor. Her passion is to enhance access to care and to provide high quality education for the aging and those nearing the end of life.
“There is much to be done for the living; to allow them to prepare and create a dignified and positive passing.” She can be reached at lifecaredoula@gmail.com or by phone at (419) 544-1889.
